This 1.1 mm thick glass filter (ITY series UV sharp cut filter) effectively absorbs UV emitted from light sources such as electric-discharge lamps. Compared to conventional interference filters, the ITY filter gives an extremely sharp rise in transmission values from UV to the visible spectrum and has less effect on the angle of incidence, which can sharply reduce UV.
